Baking powder & Baking Soda : Baking powder and baking soda is used to level the cake.

Mango Cake (Step by Step Pictures)
1)Grease a pan with oil and dust with flour. Preheat oven to 180 degree C.

2)Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl. Take flour in a bowl.

3)Add in baking soda

4)Add in baking powder

5)Mix well. This is your dry ingredients

6)Now lets cream the butter. Take butter in a bowl.

7)Add in sugar

8)Add vanilla

9)Add in some salt.

10)Mix well till creamy.

12)Fold gently.

13)Add in half of the flour mix

14)Add in milk.

15)Add in remaining flour

16)Fold gently.

17)Spoon it into the prepared pan.

Ingredients
For Mango Cake Batter
- ½ cup Unsalted Butter 110 grams
- ¾ cup Sugar 150 grams
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 large Eggs
- ¾ cup Pureed Mangoes
- 1¾ cup All Purpose Flour (Maida) 210 grams
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- ½ tsp Baking Soda
- ⅛ tsp Salt
- ½ cup Milk 120 ml
FOR MANGO GLAZE:
- ½ cup Pureed Mangoes
- ¼ cup Sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Grease a pan with butter and dust with flour. Coat on all sides and set aside.
- Take flour, baking soda, baking powder and mix well.
- Take butter, sugar, salt and vanillla in a bowl and mix well till creamy. Add eggs and whisk till creamy. Add mango puree and fold gently.
- Add in half of the flour mix and mix gently. Add in milk and fold gently. Now add in other half flour and fold gently.
- Spoon it into the prepared pan and bake for 35 to 45 mins. Remove and cool it in the pan for 5 minutes. Now un-mould the cake and let cool completely.
- Now make the glaze. Take mango puree and sugar in a sauce pan and heat till it is melted and bubble up. Now spoon the sauce all over the cake and set aside for 1 hour.
- Slice and serve.
