Eggless Chocolate Brownies Recipe | Chocolate Brownie without Eggs

  • 1 23 cm (9 inch) square pan

Ingredients

  • 150 grams Soft Unsalted butter
  • ½ cup Brown sugar 100 grams
  • ½ cup White granulated sugar 100 grams
  • ½ cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder 50 grams
  • cup Plain flour 150 grams
  • ¼ tsp Baking powder
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • ½ cup Milk 120 ml
  • 150 grams Chocolate (Milk or Semi Sweet) (around 1 cup) chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180 degree c. Line a 23 cm (9 inch) square pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Take soft unsalted butter in a sauce pan and place on heat. Melt on low heat until the butter starts to melt. Now add in brown sugar and white sugar and mix well until the butter is melted completely. The butter shouldn't get too hot when adding sugar, else the sugar may separate in the butter mixture.
  • Now add in cocoa powder and mix well so the butter, sugar and brown sugar is incorporated together. Now take it off the heat and allow it to cool for 10 minutes
  • Add in vanilla, salt, baking powder, plain flour and milk. Mix it really well till it forms into a smooth batter. Add chopped chocolate and fold gently.
  • Now pour this into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Now sprinkle some extra chocolate on top and place it into the preheated oven.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in a 180 degree c preheated oven. Remove from oven and allow it to cool for 30 minutes .
  • Now remove this to a cutting board and cut into pieces. Enjoy.

Notes

  • Use good quality brown sugar and cocoa for getting perfect texture.
  • Add cocoa powder while the butter is hot which blooms the cocoa and makes it super chocolaty.
  • Cook the butter and sugar on low heat.
  • Don't over bake the brownies else it may get hard.
  • Use good amount of chopped chocolate which adds taste.  


Storage & Serving

Baked brownies can be stored at room temperature for 2 to 3 days.
You can store in fridge for more than a week, warm in microwave for few seconds before serving. 
Eggless Brownies are best served with a cup of black coffee. Enjoy with vanilla ice creamchocolate sauce and caramel sauce. You can serve it as sizzling brownies.
