Equipment

  • Bundt Mould
  • Sauce Pan for Boiling Water
  • Moulds or Tray to set jello
  • Knife for cutting jello

Ingredients

For Instant Jello

  • 3 flavours Jello
  • 3 cups water

For Milk Layer

  • 2 tbsp Gelatin
  • ½ cup Water for blooming gelatin
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk (400 grams)
  • 1 cup Water for adding in condensed milk
  • Oil a little for greasing moulds (optional)

Instructions

  • Start by making jelly. Heat water till boiling, pour 1 cup of water in each jelly crystal and mix well. Pour this in separate tin or tray and place in fridge till set.
  • Now pour ½ cup cold water in gelatin and let it soak for 5 mins. Take the bloomed gelatin in a saucepan, heat till it is melted. Set aside.
  • Take condensed milk in a bowl. In the condensed milk tin pour 1 cup of water and mix well. Pour this over the condensed milk and mix well. Heat until it is just heated through. Pour the gelatin mix and mix well. Set aside to cool.
  • Now take a big tray or mould to set the pudding. Grease it well with oil. You can even rinse it with water once instead of greasing with oil.
  • Now remove the jelly from fridge slice it into cubes. Put the cubes in the mould. Pour the cooled milk custard mix over this. Place it in fridge and let it chill for 2 to 3 hours till it is set.
  • For inverting or de moulding. Pour hot water in a plate. Dip the mould in the hot water. Invert it and slice and serve.

Notes

  • You can use one flavoured jello instead of different colours and flavours.
  • You can set the pudding in bundt mould or any shaped moulds as you like.
  • Don't add too much gelatin else the pudding might get hard.

How to Use Agar Agar Powder instead of Gelatin

If you want to use agar agar powder instead of gelatin, add 1 tsp agar agar powder into the condensed milk mixture and bring it to a full boil while whisking constantly. Now allow this to cool for a bit before pouring into moulds.
