About Pineapple Sago Kheer Recipe
Payasam (kheeri, payesh, Kheer , or phirni) is a sweet dish and type of wet pudding popular in the Indian subcontinent. It is typically made by boiling milk, sugar or jaggery, and rice, though rice can be substituted with daals, bulgur wheat, millet, tapioca, vermicelli, or sweet corn. Commonly flavoured with desiccated coconut, cardamom, raisins, saffron, cashews, pistachios, almonds, or other dry fruits and nuts, and pseudograins have recently gained popularity. It is usually served as a dessert.
Pineapples are tasty, versatile, and high in nutrients and antioxidants. Their nutrients and compounds have been linked to numerous health benefits, including better digestion, a lower risk of cancer, and relief from osteoarthritis. Nonetheless, more human research is required.

Ingredients for Pineapple Sago Payasam
- Sago / Javarisi - 1 cup
- Water - 2 cup
- Pineapples - 2 cup cubed
- Hot Milk - 500 ml
- Sugar - ½ cup + ¼ cup
- Yellow Food Colouring a pinch
Sago / Sabudana / Javvarisi:
It also has a neutral flavour because starch, while having a distinct sensation in the mouth, does not have a memorable flavour. Sago, like pearls, is chewy, so you'll need to sweeten it to get the full flavour. Simply buy a packet of sago and boil it before adding it to your bubble tea. After cooking, they will have the same flavour as
white tapioca pearls.
Pineapples :
Pineapple has a distinct tropical fruit flavour that is both sweet and tart. Because the base of the fruit contains more sugar, pieces from that area will be sweeter and more tender.
Sugar :
Sugars make many foods more palatable by improving flavour and mouthfeel. They also extend the shelf life of foods, add viscosity, and act as a bulking agent.

Frequently Asked Questions? FAQ?
How do you fix thick kheer?
If the kheer becomes too thick, add a little more milk to thin it out. If necessary, adjust the sweetness. Sprinkle the kheer with the rose water and garnish with the remaining raisins, dates, almonds, and pistachios.
Is kheer and payasam same?
Kheer is known as payasam or payasa in southern India, which means milk. The difference between kheer and payasam is that payasam is typically made with jaggery and has a thinner consistency.
When should I eat payasam?
In many homes, it's still served just before the final course of curd (rice with buttermilk). Over the last few decades, tiny cups began to appear at wedding feasts that were reserved for the payasam (in some cases, two payasams).
