I should have posted this long before, but i ran out of time and i am rushing now, i still have few more recipes to be posted which i made for navrathri sorry for not sharing it before..Will post it in them coming weeks..
Ingredients for Peanut Sundal Recipe (Verkadalai Sundal)
- Raw Peanuts - 1 cup
- Salt to taste
- Coconut - 3 tbsp finely grated ( Optional )
- Black pepper - 1 tsp crushed
For Seasoning:
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
- Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu - 1 tsp
- Asafoetida / Kaya Podi / Hing - ¼ tsp
- Curry leaves - 1 sprig
How to Make Peanut Sundal Recipe (Verkadalai Sundal)
- Wash and soak peanuts in lots of water overnight.
- Drain the water and add it to pressure cooker. Cover with fresh water. Pressure cook it for 5 whistle. Then simmer for 20 mins.
- Now switch off the flame and let the steam go all by itself. Open the pressure cooker and drain the water and set aside.
- Heat oil in a kadai. Add in seasoning ingredients and saute for a min.
- Now add in cooked drained peanuts and mix well.
- Add in salt and toss well.
- Then add in crushed pepper and mix well.
- Add coconut if needed and mix well.
- Serve.
